The Soldier

There he goes
To fight on the hills,
Bidding his friends and family
Maybe the last farewell.

He says them the last adieu
And leaves his home
Like a ferocious tiger to
Hunt his prey
For one moment glimpse he turns
To have a last look of his
Family and friends.

This is the last time he sees them,
But cares who,
All that matters to him
Is his country, his motherland.

There high up in the mountains
He fights and fights
But it doesn’t seem to end,
He fights like a Spartan,
With all his might and strength
But alas! He falls
Once and for all
Sleeps proudly on his eternal bed
The pride of the battle field.

He is immortal in the eyes of his countrymen
This is the story of the soldiers
Who laid their lives on the battle field.

Let us respect him,
And save our motherland from the calamities
And like the brave soldier
We should not look back upon our duties.
