O Mother

That’s how it goes
O’er and o’er the centuries
Every year comes my mother
To rid me of my worries.

She gives us all her blessings
And wishes us all to do good things
We can find her with our Bhakti
O Mother in life give us Shakti.

Every year at the end of Autumn
She descents on this earth
To rid us of odium,
Just for nine days you come mother
But you stay with us every day and more
‘Cause you say in our heart’s deepest core.

Yet, on the tenth day
You leave us,
Please stay longer and bless us

O Mother may you make peace prevail
And wickedness on this earth fail.
Do come and stay more
‘Cause you live in our heart’s deepest core.
