The Godfather – A Review

Hi this is your friend who has been greatly influenced by the book, The Godfather by Mario Puzo and has attempted to write a few lines of apprecition dedicated to the book. I hope most of the readers of this article must have read the best seller but if you have not then get your hands on the book as soon as possible. The book is a very fantastic piece of literature in the modern literary period and the art of story telling of the author is very apt and artistic. The opening lines of the story, ''behind every fortune lies a crime'', is so very true in the modern context and can be related to every part of the world.

I had heard about the book since a long time but had always postponed reading the book due to my over busy and hectic daily schedule but it incidentally fell on my hands, yes, you could say that it fell into my hands one day when I was returning from my work. I bought the book from a person who was in much need of money and the book was his only possession which he tried to sell but found no buyers until he found me or as destiny had had its chance to get the wonderful piece of art to me. I bought the book not giving it much thought but only with the intention of helping the poor fellow but when I started reading the book, I got so much engrossed in it that I cannot be expressed in mere words. It is one of the literary classics that I came upon since a long time and it was but natural that I write a few words about the same.

I would prescribe this book to all the literature lovers who has not yet read this marvelous piece of creation. The author has very meticulously interlinked various characters to give the book a wonderful structure. It deals with the hero’s love for his family and also the stages of life he has gone through making him a man to be feared by all. He is The Godfather who has faced the darkness of life and come out of it triumphantly. The book has a feel of the real world and can be considered as a novel of the world. The author has shown miraculous power of combining and presenting the dark reality of this world by bestowing it a form of story.

Well I think that should be all as of now because unless you read the book you can never in your wildest dreams realize the truth in my words and I hope after reading this short article those who have not read the book till now would get their hands on this book as soon as possible and get a feel of what modern literature is all about and I congratulate Mr Mario Puzo, wherever he is, on writing such a wonderful book and for giving such a
wonderful gift to all the literature lovers.
